What a great tradition and it takes the seriousness out of the game for a night and makes it fun for the kids. Who did the artwork?

 

By the way CovCath fans what did you think of the MC frosh on the court tonight? Dominique Hawkins will be a future Mr Basketball candidate. I also believe a couple other frosh either start or play a ton.

 

Not knowing anything about the Madison County team and then getting the roster with the kids school year on them, I had to do a double take. I mean with all the Frosh and Sophmore on the Varsity team from a school that I was told had around 1,800 kids just about floored me.

 

Now please don't take this the wrong way but from the people around me all to a person, all where saying, these kids are freshmen? I am just wondering if some of the young men were freshmen like Hatton is a 8th grader. They were stronger and looked much more physically mature than our senior guards. Hawkins indeed will be something as a senior! Again with the number of kids that I was told that attend Madison Central it was a shock to see if I remember correctly not one senior on the team and only 1 junior. Just sort a strange to me!

I havent seen Hawkins since 6th grade when he dropped 30 on my son's AAU team down at KBA and I know he was long and athletic back then. They had a very nice team and I am pretty sure those kids all are now at MC so I am assuming those are the FRosh you speak of that play Varsity.

 

Hawkins is number 25, I think.

Cov Cath senior students typically pick a senior player & spend some time drawing the pictures for senior night.

 

I don't know how long it has been going on, but it's been a while.

The drawings of the seniors is a great tradition at CCH. I'd love to know the story behind each of them. The Max Pauly picture made me laugh with him wearing a 94 state championship sweatshirt.

 

Robinson: The 15, shoulder pads and basketball are self explanatory. The guitar playing was handed down from his dad, John Robinson, who is an excellent guitar player. John learned from his dad who was a Chet Atkins style guitar picker. Don't want to leave out mom's side of the blood line (Grimes) from which Michael gets his looks and loads of athleticism. :dancingpa
