Congrats to Kelli Dixon for scoring her 1000th point during the game.

Good game by both teams. In the first half, West for Williamstown was on fire from the outside, while Walton countered with Dixon down inside. Free throw shooting kept Walton in it at halftime. (I think they were 10 for 10)

 

Second half, Walton really turned up the pressure on West and the other Williamstown ball handlers. Officials really let them bang away tonight, which hurt the Lady Demons. Still, Williamstown kept it fairly close, but some missed layups and a few more free throws really hurt. Walton did a good job of being patient on offense and working for the free passing lane down inside. Williamstown couldn't guard the combo of both Dixon and Sandlin at the same time.

 

I guess we're a coin flip away from seeing these same two squads meet again the first round of the district!
