The Gallatin Co Wildcats play host to South Oldham this Friday. Who wins? I think it will be closer than some might think.

South will get the win they have too much fire power for GC.

This will be a superb game, if the weatherman permits. Jon Jones and Steve Simpson are two of the longest-tenured coaches in the 8th, and both are doing superb jobs this year.

 

Get your popcorn at halftime...if you leave the gym during the game, you're likely to miss 40 points scored. These two teams won't waste time. Probably two of the best passing teams in the region. South will have a decided height advantage, and has more shooters than Gallatin, but the Wildcats will challenge the Dragons' ability to prevent penetration...

 

If it comes down to free throws, it could become a real high-scoring game...I know South shoots FTs real well (the Dragons were 24 of 34 for 70+% against North Oldham on Tuesday, including 13 of 16 in the fourth period), and - although I don't know GC's stats for the year, Jones' teams are almost always superb at the line...

I believe the Cats will have to bring their "A" game. Should be a fun one to watch weather permitting.

Wish I could be there...this looks like the 8th Region "Game of the Night". But Pegasus Sports covers all the 29th district seeding games, so we'll be doing the North Oldham - Trimble Co (DH) tomorrow night.

Yes it is senior night for gallatin. Should be a fun game to watch, just not sure how much fun it will be for the wildcat nation.
