The Birds jumped all over the Raiders early outscoring them 22-2 in the second qtr and a 30-9 lead at the half. 6'4 8th grader Nick True led the onslought scoring 10 first half pts. True finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds.

 

The Raiders came out in the 3rd qtr and cut into the lead but could never get closer than 9.

 

Ryle was led by Mayes with 16 points and Travis Pavey's 12.

Good point and they play really good defense.

 

Kudos to the Big Show Karl Hinkel for coming off the bench and playing solid basketball at the PG position when Turner got in foul trouble. Often overmatched due to his lack of size he has a huge heart and knocked down a nice 3pter from way out. Also nice effort by David Christian off the bench with some big rebounds and stout defense.

Definitely playing with more confidence and the big fella Nick True is a beast as of late. Unfortunately they didnt show up against your Stangs last month and you gotta show up when playing a tough defensive team like those boys.

First time out to watch the frosh! They are long and lean and play well together. Do not have a pure shooter but nice PG with size that did a good job running the team and True is really strong in the block. It looks like the chemistry is good and looking forward to watching them move forward. It looks like they do a good job of playing team ball.
