South Oldham/North Oldham Predictions

Featured Replies

South Oldham and North Oldham battle in a 29th district seeding game on Wednesday night.

South is 2-0 in the district; North is 0-1 after losing to Oldham County last Friday.

North can still forge a three-way tie for first by beating South and then Trimble County.

Both teams are led by star sophomores: South is paced by 5'9" sophomore guard Jasmine Whitfield, averaging about 14 ppg while hitting 50+% from the floor. North is led by 5'9" sophomore forward Nicole Bryant, who has really elevated her game this year, averaging about 17 ppg.

South senior Jordann McGuffin (12 ppg) and North senior Olivia Raffli (10 ppg) provide leadership at the guard spots for both teams...

The game will be broadcast over the internet on the Pegasus Sports Network, beginning with a pregame show at 7 pm, at http://www.pegasussportsky.com. Click on either the South or the North logos and then click on the game listing.

The game will be archived for six months, and can be heard as an archive 24 hours after the broadcast.

Apparently, there is not much interest in this one. However, NOHS looks to be in the business of believing in themselves this year. Wednesday night will indicate if the Lady Mustangs climbed up to a higher level. Three-horse races are more interesting than when there are fewer contenders.

There aren't a lot of Oldham Countians on this board. Now, if I said the game was SK vs. Notre Dame or Highlands vs. Boone County...

Seriously, just not a lot of folks from OC passing through here...
