St Pat got off to a super slow start, looked to be playing not to lose instead of playing to win. But as always the girls find a way to win, excellent defense in the second half was the difference in this game.

Brossart seemed to pick up where St. Pat left off at the half. Shots wouldn't for the Saints in the first half. Brossart shooting off in the second half. Congrats Lady Saints!

Brossart came out with tons of Energy at the start of the game lead after the first quarter 21-10 and at the half 27-20. Sanker with 8 points in the first quarter, but St Pat had blanket D on her the rest of the game where she scored only 4 points the rest of the game.

 

What can you say about Douglas stepping up and making huge shots in the 3rd quarter. She had something like 12 points in the third quarter. Klee had a double double I think something like 11 points and 12 rebounds, Mosler had like 7 points and 14 rebounds as well.

 

When St Pat is creating turnovers and getting up and down they are a hard team to stop.

Good game. St. Pat was so strong late in the game. Brossart looked good early but faded late, just could not keep up the pace. These girls are well conditioned and ready to play for 32 minutes. Good luck tomorrow night.

Looks to be vs Bracken Co tomorrow night, Bracken was up 17 at the half.

Coach Douglas should bottle up that halftime talk because the Lady Saints came out much different in the second half

I think so also according to one of the players it was one of the best half time talks she has ever heard and she has been on a Douglas team since 2nd grade

The momentum actually started changing in the second period, when StP outscored the Lady Stangs 10-6, following a 21-10 BB onslaught in the first period..

 

Brossart, while ahead, played like they were the team behind, and provided the Saints with plenty of scoring opportunities off of rushed shots and turnovers.

 

As stated, both teams shot well at the east end (cafeteria end) of the gym, and both shot poorly from the west end.

 

The difference was that while Brossart was on their early run, STP couldn't score and get into their press, when they started scoring BB turned the ball over to them allowing the Saints to take over the game. When ahead the Saints went to a zone and the Stangs had no answer.
