January 7, 201016 yr Since the bride's family often still pays for the wedding, she may have deposits all over town for the hall, church, florists etc. She may, indeed, have a lot of money invested in the upcoming (now canceled) wedding that she loses out of. IF HE CHEATED, or was a dog in some other way, I would definately keep the ring. I would not wear it as a ring, but, as mentioned above. I would transform it to a necklace. It would be a symbol of the lessons I learned and hopefully make me wiser in the future. The stone is the same, but the meaning is different. Never thought of that scenario and I agree :thumb:
