Props to the 8th grader Hatton with 18 points.

Hatton is coming into his own and I expect him to be one of the leading scorers in the Region next year as a Freshman. He is built like a Jr/Sr right now and has a great shot. I think right now he is taking what they are giving him. Next year look for him to take what they try not to give him.

Hatton and Pike both had excellent games against Villa. I was suprised at Villa the first two quarters. They came out strong against Dixie holding a lead a few times and playing strong offensively. The second half Dixie dominated. Bryan for Villa seemed somewhat frustrated at the calls made by the officials. Once he recieved a techinical, not quite sure what was said though. It all happened so quickly couldn't find out exactly what the call was made. However even with his frustration he was a power house offensively for Villa. He is an excellent shooter. Heard Dixie tore it up later that evening against an Australia traveling team as well.

Villa has seemed to play well early on in the first half against teams that were both bigger and more athletic than them but a lack of depth has seemed to hurt them in the second half.

Sounds like Hatton had a huge game with 18. He's going to be tough for the Red Colonels over the next 4 years.

Dixie won by like 30 or so. None of the starters really played all that much except Hatton. Hatton I dont think missed a shot the entire night. He probably had close to 20 or more in the game agaisnt the Aussie's.

Don't disagree he is a pretty solid player. One question, how old is this kid, it seems like everytime I hear people talk about him he is an 8th grader and I have been hearing this for at least two years?

He will be eligible to play his senior season. That is all that matters in my mind. :deadhorse:

He is putting these numbers up against varsity competition.

The hatton kid is 14 years old i have talked to his parents and they get this all the time. He will not turn 15 until april the 28. I don't uhnderstand why people want to try and bring down a kid because he is a hold back.I was told he was held back for the simple reason his parents didn't wast him to graduate at 17 or just turning 18 depending on the graduation date. That being said there are many many hold backs playing high school basketball across the state. The kid will be 18 his entire senior season so he is by far and old hold back. There are kids he plays aganist in aau that are in his grade and are at least a year older than he (hatton). All of that being said i hope that clears up the age question about hatton for everyone. He is in the 8th grade and putting up huge numbers aganist 16-17-18 year old kids period.
