Close. The Lions, after losing by 37 to Beechwood, are now 2-10 on the season. Estill County was their only other win.

Christmas tournaments always produce strange results. Grind of playing 3-4 games in 4 days and playing in a consolation bracket affects different teams in different ways.

Pendleton had given a great effort the day before against Holmes. I don't know if mentally they had nothing left in the tank, but they certainly sleepwalked through the Lewis Co. game. Heard they had a nice comeback game against Deming on Tuesday.

I believe Deming is 0-6 since Caldwell went down. Shooters need point guards.

He was there in body but may have played the worst game of his young career. He may have been sick but I don't know that. He played great the day before against Holmes. Wonderful point guard that I love to watch.

They came off a night of giving it their all and playing tough against Holmes.

The next morning they had no legs. None of them! They got beat for every loose ball and could not guard anyone. The starters were sent to the bench immediately in the game and replaced until the second half. It was one of those games where Lewis could not miss a shot. Monroe played maybe 5 total minutes in the game. The rest of the starters played maybe only a few minutes more. The Wildcats bounced back nicely to close out the tournament with back to back wins. They are looking extremely forward to their rematch with the Polar Bears on January 5th! Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone!

With the way BC dismantled both an athletic Greenup County and a hot Nicholas County squad, things could get ugly for the Wildcats in Falmouth on Tuesday. BC's size inside and guard size posed a problem in the half court for the Cats in Brooksville and unless they find an answer the Lewis County score may look tame.

If I remember correctly it was a 2 point victory on the Bears home floor and in their own tournament. The only problem that was posed on the Cats that night was playing 5 on 7.

 

Lewis was a bad loss for the Cats no doubt. But didn't the Bears lose to Deming and Cordia also? Bad losses also??

First of all...if my memory serves me correctly, Bracken led the whole game and by as many as double figures...Pendleton only pulled within two points at the end of the game... How in the world can anyone justify that Pendleton played 5 on 7...calls were definitely both ways the whole game...quit making excuses and admit that Bracken deserved the win...:irked::ohbrother:

I guess your memory doesn't serve you well at all. It never was a double figure lead at any point.
