Okay I went a little over board with that statement lol. But seriously Newport showed last night why they have only lost 2 games. And those 2 games being to one of the top teams in the state. Dont take this the wrong way but before last night I thought Newport beating all those teams was a fluke only because of Newports past in athletics. But they showed last night that they are one of the better schools up in here NKy.

 

Newport is definetly an elite team this year in nky. It will be interesting to see what they do over their next 4 games. They'll play Conner tonight @ Lloyd then get 3 straight home games against Conner, Newcath, and Boone Co.

 

Looking at the remaining games on their schedule, I'd be very surprised if this team lost more than 5 games. I'm going to say they finish with over 20 wins and just 4 losses.

I also think they (Newport) are better than any team in the 10th Region not named George Rogers Clark.
