Gallatin County started out on a 23-0 run to start up the game. Shawe scored 2 points in the first quarter.

Gallatin was perfect from the free throw line until Zac Jones missed one in the 4th quarter. Gallatin wins the NAS Championship.

Best game I have seen from the Wildcats in a very long time. The press was incredible and was key to Gallatin's success tonight. Very impressed with the "run and gun" style that Gallatin got back into tonight. This team played very well against a Shawe team that looked pretty good the past two days. Defensive pressure and teamwork by the Wildcats is what pulled them to victory. Congrats to Gallatin County! Best of luck to both teams the rest of the season! :thumb:

WOW! Not surprised with the win, but just the kick butt style of delivery! Congrats to Coach Jones and the Wildcats!

I believe this might be the first-ever matchup between my former high school and my dad's.

I would agree. The only thing I would add was after getting off to a great start, IMO, I think they got a bit lax, especially in the second half. In listening on the way home, they were "just trading baskets".

In talking to Coach Jones before the game, he related that they had not played a full 32 minutes. Sounds like they are getting there, but just not there quite yet. It's still early, but consistant progress is being made.

Were you for GC or Shaw?
