Saint Pat won the Frosh game, I don't know the score and lost the JV game like 27-19.

Freshmen won 20-19 after trailing 14-2 at the half

Obviously they started off very slow, several girls on the team were not feeling well, plus the five freshman do not get much time as a group on the floor together. It would have been very easy for them to just pack it in for the night but those freshman hate to loose and will fight till the get back into the game. Very proud of them tonight. They are now 3-0 on the season with wins over Bracken and Bishop Brossart as well. The future looks good for a few more years at St Pat.

Will they be around in a few more years?

Yea they will be, if I read the new rule these girls must play at least a freshman year in college before going pro........lol:ylsuper: and yes I know what your asking but this is about the team not the school and as far as i know its getting in better financial shape everyday so yea it will be around.

Those 5 9th graders sure do seem to battle back and find a way to win. :thumb:

This was a very nice win for St Patrick. St Henry is an excellent team. They are quick and have some tall girls on the inside. It was a very well played game for both teams. A lot of nice sportsmanship from both teams.

St. Henry girls always play hard and show a lot of class. I was a little surpriused by the varsity score vs. St. Pats.

 

I do not know a lot about St. Pats but they must have a very good team this season.

I was very impressed with the St. Pat team. They passed the ball extremely well. Their speed was just way too fast for St. Henry. They also got quality minutes from the bench when two starters got in foul trouble early. Great game girls, keep working hard.

Good question. This may be the second round game in the ALL A. I think Pat's quickness may cause Brossart to turn the ball over too many times.

I really believe this is St. Patricks year to win the All A tournament. Even though they lost 3 seniors, these kids have the experience and talent to win it. Good luck Lady Saints.
