According to the KOB website, Warren Central led almost the entire way, though it was always tight, with WC never leading by more than 10.

You know, I got pretty down on Central's performance in this tourney, but really when I analyze it, they lost to the #13 team by 8 when they were gutted by illness and injury that either sidelined or diminished their top 3 players, to the #20 team in a true road game by 3, and then defeated the #8 team by 2 tonight. So it could be worse.

Good luck this year. If my Purples can't make it to Rupp, I'll be there rooting for you guys.

Shanklin's out also is that correct?

Yes. Last I heard, they're not expecting him back until the game before the Bowling Green game, which is January 15th I believe. So about 2.5 more weeks.

This was a very good game. Tates Creek I believe was up or down 31-26 at the half.

Anyway, both teams pressured eachother the whole game and Fant got in foul trouble which allowed TC to do more around the rim. Tates Creek was down by around 8 with a minute to go and stormed all the way back to bring the game to free throw attempts as the deciding factor.

With 3 seconds left Tates Creek's Fucci went to line down 3. Fucci made the first to make the score 53-51. On the second free throw, as soon as he got the ball he threw it quickly off the front of the rim. Barksdale got the rebound and put up a shot that hit off the back of rim and went off the side and the game would end on a scramble for the ball.

This was a well played game by both teams. I was impressed with both teams' defensive pressure in their presses.

When Warren Central gets their key players healthy, everyone is going to see why they are pre season top 10. They aren't as big as I expected but man they get after it at both ends of the floor and are extremely quick.
