The Bengals mentality this year is to run the ball down your throats. They have 2 very good backs in Benson and LJ. The fact that they threw for 300 yards yesterday tells you that they didn't think SD's pass defense was very good. They completely went away from what has won them 9 games. That's telling.

In fairness, I'm going out on a limb to say that defending against Cincy's pass attack is a far easier task than defending the Chargers.

 

You could leave Coles and the TE's open on every play and Carson's completion percentage would likely be 50%.

 

The Chargers are good. I think they're the best team in the AFC right now. That's all. The margin in the NFL is slim these days, so there are no locks. Any of the playoff teams are subject to make a run, IMO.

 

Seriously, the Titans have an outside chance to sneak into the playoffs at 9-7...how would you view a 9-7 team that closed the season by winning 9 of its last 10? Would you want to play them?

 

What about the defending Super Bowl champions if they get Polamalu back and still have the best clutch QB in the league right now?

 

The Ravens? A defense that can still bring it on any given day and now they have an offense for the first time in a decade.

 

There are some dangerous teams lurking. Fortunately for the top dogs, I'm guessing the two most dangerous wild card possibilities, Tennessee and Pittsburgh, will be on the outside looking in come playoff time.

You must have been watching a different game then....Joseph was pretty shut down all game long. Hall got beat by Jackson on the 1st TD and the final play (although that one was a bad play call more than anything)....The Bengals had their best passing day in almost 2 years, but yeah Cromartie and Jammer were super...

Personally, I like Oakland's corner tandem better than the rest.
