Highlands/Brossart Predictions

Featured Replies

Hopefully the Birds will not have a hangover tonight in their game against the Stangs. I would expect Kowolonek and Grote to still not play in this one. There is nobody on the Mustang roster who can come close to matching up with Grubbs. If the Birds dont go to thim 30 times tonight they are crazy.

I like the Birds at home in a low scoring affair.

Birds 52

Stangs 38

I think this one will be close because the mustangs defense usually finds a way to keep them in any game... Higlands is a top program ranked 14 in the BGP rankings. Highlands will also be looking for revenge after Brossart upset the Birds last year in Alexandria... I predict a one or two point win with a score in the 40's... But I can't say who will win!

Will Mustang's crew be out there broadcasting today starting with the Frosh game at 4:30pm?

I'll take the Birds.

Highlands- 55

Brossart- 47

If the two starting guards for HHS do not play tonight i will take Brossart in a close game. I know HHS has a deep bench but losing two starters is tough so i will say Brossart 52 HHS 47.

There will NO upset this year BIRDS by double digits w/o Grote and Kowolonek... Look for someone else to pick up the slack tonight.

HHS -56

BHS- 43

Highlands showed against Mason co last night that they're deep enough to win without those two.

Mason also had two players out last night. Im just saying its tough not having two staters for any team.HHS does have depth on the bench but they are role players not starters or they would be in the starting five alredy. If you think you can continue to win games without them starters then lets give HHS the 9th region championship now!

You dont seem to understand the true depth of the Birds. They have 8 Srs who have all started games over the past 2 years. Dill/Smith-Keller/Grubbs/Gordon/Lother and then Kowolonek and Grote.

Who does Brossart have that can match up besides maybe Armstrong at guard and Rieger? They have nobody that can body up Grubbs.

Lother worked Gilbert last night and dropped 12 on him in the pivotal 4th qtr. Are you saying that Armstrong is a better player than Gilbert.

Tonight you will see a low scoring game that will have a lot of tough defense and Im not saying a blowout but I do see a lot of matchup problems for the Stangs.

Who on Brossart would start for Highlands? Reiger probably... other than that:idunno:

I don't know about winning the region without them but the Bluebirds can handle Brossart w/o those two. :dancingpa

Come see for yourself.

This is championship caliber team not in the rebuilding mode. We have plenty of depth to handle Brossart. See Friday's box score against Mason Co.

Mustang will start broadcast around 5:45 for JV game.

I guess some of you are eating your words huh. Give Brossart credit. And Jordan Armstrong, well I guess the stats Speak for themselves.

At least they had the courage to make a prediction.

Yea nothing like coming out after the game to rub it in the opposing fan's faces. Stay classy Alexandria. I look forward to hearing more from you in the prediction threads, well I mean after the games are played . Have enough confidence in your son to atleast make a prediction prior to the game.
