He has some big shoes to fill this season. Seidel led last year's team in every category and now he is playing at Embry Riddle in FL. There is some talent on the NL team, but they have to step up and not take on the secondary role many were used to the past few seasons. Wardrup is an excellent athlete, as is Shears, Creech is a big / strong kid, Cheek can be a good PG. Once some of these kids learn to step up and have confidence, they will be MUCH better as the season progresses.

Clark will be hard to handle this year.

GRC is a very good team, although I don't think they 50 points better than NL. NL gave a very poor effort in the second half.

 

GRC size will be very tough for teams to match up with this season, I look for them to make a long run and challenge for the state championship.

I agree. NL had NO effort in the second half. Even the subs that came in did not play well despite their success with their win in the JV game. Speaking of the JV game, I believe that was one of the more physical games that I have seen in a while. NL responded to that and had a double digit lead early in the first half and held on for a hardfought win. The first game ended up being the more entertaining of the two. Good luck to GRC and to my Jags, hang in there. This was only the first game of the season.
