I know very little about Boyd but I like KC's chances in this one.

I don't normally like to single out individuals. I believe in teams and I know that for every yard a running back gets, someone threw a nice block. For every completion, some linemen held his ground long enough for the QB to get the pass off. However, I've become somewhat annoyed that some players on other teams are getting a great deal of accolades for what they have done this year and yet when I look at KC's stats, I see better numbers. So, in the interest of evening things up a bit.....

Did you know that Senior RB Chad Merida has 1397 yards this season? How about Soph (and first year starter) QB Jonathon Barger has thrown for 1237 yards and 13 TDs? Freshman wide reciever Jeffrey Canady has caught 8 of those TDs among his 31 total catches for 600 yards.

Some nice numbers from some players who don't get the pub of others. Nice job guys. Thank the guys in the trenches.

BTW, I posted offensive numbers because that's what seems to get noticed on message boards. We also have 4 players averaging near or over 10 tackles per game.

I still think this Boyd County team has the ability to pull off a playoff upset like this. They've been a hard luck team all year long, but they are not as bad as their record would indicate. Injuries, untimely turnovers, and the flu bug all bit them hard this year. If their players haven't packed it in for the season, I think they get the win. If, however, the trials and tribulations of the season have worn them down, then Knox wins it.

kc defense has grew from game 1 till now. there d line and o line are very good averaging 310 pds the linebackers are good and the db's are doin alot better. i pick kc in this one and go to lawrence and upset the bulldogs and head to log mountain in the regional championchip game :D

I agree, Boyd Co. can make life tough for Knox Cent. This could be a upset if Knox Cent. does not come to play.

Knox Central wins 24-10.

Totally agree, but being at home I think gives Knox Central the edge.

I would love to see the Lions win this one. But Boyd just doesn't have an offense. It's a wonder the defense doesn't give up 40 ppg. Up untill the Ashland game Boyd was only being defeated by an average of 12.3 ppg. They were in the game in almost everyone they played. They just can't score. Boyd only averages 13.2 ppg :idunno:

Knox Central 28-14.

Knox Central 41

Boyd County 14

Knox Central has a lot of weapons.
