Oregon can't leap Boise State if the Broncos don't lose. I think even with the inherent biases involved, even the geniuses in the polls wouldn't be able to get by the absolute beating Boise State laid on them. TCU, they'd jump above them in all likelihood. They'll need a lot of other teams to lose as well.

44-20 now. 8:00 left in the game. Seems pretty safe to say at the moment that USC's title hopes and Rose Bowl hopes are done. They'll be two games behind Oregon in the Pac-10.

Oh, I was thinking you meant in the polls. Computers would play large into that, but the humans would never allow it. No one is going to forget the absolute dominance they exhibited in that first game.

You really think those games compare? FSU missed a FG to tie that game in 2000, while Oregon was really never in the game against Boise State. Not even almost the same.

Yeah, I was correct, FSU never moved ahead of Miami in the polls. And if nothing else changes, neither will Oregon above Boise State.

I will concede that it's not exactly the same, but the WAC vs Pac-10 factor will play in. That's a lot different than ACC vs Big East (at that time); therefore, I won't rule anything out.
