I think you will see NCC there too! They have a talented group...they may be young, but they are experienced and ready to play. It would be great to see both N KY teams go far! At this point you cheer for your school and you cheer for the N Ky teams!

If you graduate from Covington Catholic, chances are some (most?) of your best friends will also be a Colonel.

 

When those young Colonels grow into adults, they'll still be friends. When those young Colonels get a "big boy" job and start making money, chances are they'll still be hanging around with a group of CCH guys.

 

When one of those CCH guys gives money to the school, their friends follow suit.

 

My memories of Covington Catholic are not going to compel me to give them any money. I already paid enough for those memories. :lol:

 

But if I can give the school some money so that another kid can share the same experiences that I did and build the relationships that last a lifetime, then I'll do that.

 

It's clear on BGP and around the area that people outside of Covington Catholic have no idea what "A Spirit That Will Not Die" means. And quite frankly, I think that's a good thing. If the outsiders understood what it meant, then CCH would not have something as special as they do. Is that corny? Maybe. But it's 100% truth.

 

Here's to NDA letting their girls out early so that they can go & support their team and fellow classmates.

Looks like I'm an outsider. Agree with your overall post. Really think that goes on most other places. Maybe not but most. How else would schools get monies to do what they do. Not from the State! There are some aspects that CovCath has that other schools don't but for the most part it's what you make of it and it becomes an extended family.

 

BTW, NDA is in school all day tomorrow. My daughter will have a note to attend a volleyball game. And it's excused. I think!

Unfortunately, it doesn't go on at most other schools.

 

Covington Catholic's environment is simply an environment that doesn't exist at other NKY high schools. I don't know if it's the teachers, the all male student body, the school lunches, or the ridiculous amount of excitement over nothing, but it's not normal.

When I had to leave after the second game , there were an awful lot of NDA students entering Regents Hall . Maybe the Nuns relented .

NDA student body was there in force.
