I don't have to many details from this game. However I know Ludlow had 4 fumbles in the first half that Walton took advantage of to tie it up at 14. After Ludlow got off to a quick 14 to 0 lead in the 1st quarter. Sounds like a great game, and good job Walton you all played hard. It won't be long till you all eventually get that win over one of the district teams that been in the district for a long time.

Congrats to Ludlow and Coach Hornsby and staff on getting the three seed for the playoffs. The whole community is proud of you all, now finish the season strong next week. Then get ready for the playoffs, and hopefully have some success in the playoffs like last year.

Walton would get the ball first, but it was Ludlow who on their first drive struck gold on a 56 yard pass reception from Zach Stegmoeller to Anthony Gault to take the 6-0 lead at the 8:30 mark.

Ludlow would score again at the end of the quarter as Steg found Chris Yates from 16 yards out. The two point conversion is good making the score after the first quarter 14-0, Panthers.

Walton came alive in the second quarter. A 2 yard run for Zach MacAdams cut the lead in half at the 9:54 mark and in one of the most bizarre plays we have seen this year, the Bearcats tied the game at the end of the half on a blocked punt. The ball was fumbled and the Bearcats Quincy Page picked it up at the 27 yard line and ran it in for the score tying the game at 14 at the half.

Both teams came out flat in the 3rd quarter until Ludlow's Jacob Ashcraft scored from 5 yards out at the 8:52 mark to give the Panthers a 20-14 lead.

The fourth quarter is where it got interesting. Quincy Page struck again for the Bearcats at the 4:19 mark when he picked off Stegmoeller. The Bearcats take the ball down the field in :59 seconds and take the lead 21-20 on a 7 yard catch by Nolan Brown with 3:20 to go.

The Panthers weren't finished. Zach Stegmoeller found a hole and ran it in from 21 yards out to give the Panthers a 26-20 lead and then added the 2 point conversion to make the score your final 28-21. Give huge credit to the Bearcats. They didn't give up and really came out to play. They are still a bit young, but they will build on this game.

Hard fought game! Your right they are young and learning what it takes to compete in a tough district. I look forward to these Bearcats in the future.

Keep your heads up Walton. Walton gets quite a few players back for next year, and the coaching staff will have a year of condtioning implemented for the team. Coach took over the reigns in July. Walton has a bright future. Good luck and congratulations to the Panthers.
