KY Thorobred Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Harrison wins it on a 24 yard field goal with 6 seconds left in the game... Harrison goes to 4-4 (2-0) Bourbon falls to 4-4 (1-2) *1 of Harrison's losses was a forfeit because they were out of school for the flu* Down 21-0 the Breds come back to win!
KY Thorobred Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 This was the biggest comeback in Harrison County football history, way to go Coach Carroll and the Breds!
HSFOOTBALL Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I was at this game too. It seems like Bourbon county refused to switch things up. When Harrison caught on to Barnes gashing them they stacked 11 in the box and crashed both ends and blitzed all gaps, at any point and time a tight end dump or option or boot or even sweep would have made the defense play honest. I believe I saw a TE dump one play that almost scored, but it was late in the game and they never went back to it. Congrats to the Breds as I thought this one was over in the first quarter.
footballhd Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I figured Coach Poynter would be able to adjust to that!
Tall Trees Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I didn't pick this one. Congrats to HC. Bourbon had the starting center, left guard, and left tackle out. Still up 21 points they should have hung on. Fumbles hurt Bourbon again as one was picked up and ran in for a TD. Congrats to Harrison.
GridIronWarrior Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Injuries hurt all the way around. But gotta give Harrison credit for digging deep and pulling off the comeback.
