Did anyone else find it odd that Coach Cal never mentioned Pitino's name when he mentioned KY's great line of coaches? Odd.

Or Gillispie or Sutton... Probably should have included Pitino though. Not a huge deal.

Just showed how good of a speaker and motivator Calipari is. Amongst the Sypher scandal, and considering Pitino is UL's coach, it was best Cal left his name out. Everyone was so energetic and in to the speech. A mention of Ricky P's name could have easily brought out some boo birds. Wise move on Cal's part IMO.

Pitno will always be remembered and beloved for resurrecting the Cats in the 90's. However, now's just not the time for him to be in the hearts of the majority if UK fans. After its all said and done though he will be just as beloved as he was in 97'.

I think I'm going to enjoy this year...

It really is! Patterson is obviously 100% back from his injury which I just never felt he was last year. Wall is full of confidence and cockiness and has the ability to back that up... WOW! Harrellson never stopped smiling last night which I think speaks volumes and I suspect he'll be able to contribute in big ways he never felt comfortable in even attempting last year. All the strength and talent on that team.... regardless of how far we make it in post play, it will be a season to remember!! :ylsuper:

I really think PP has a shot for national POY award this year! He spent 8 weeks with a personal trainer and it shows.

Yep, and you can tell Orton went with him too. :thumb:
