October 16, 200916 yr I think it teaches some strategy. No one complains when the fast teams all get paid turf fields and the poor mountain slower mountain schools have to travel and play on their surface; so what is wrong with growing grass out> I wouldn't thinl purposely soaking the field is right but if it rains, it rains and it benefits the home teams if they want it to IMO. I've never ever understood the philosophy that people say EKY teams cheat when their grass is high or their field is muddy because those same people can never understand that they can't afford the turf fields and they often only have 1 field for the high school, middle school and elementary school, therefore the field is going to be pretty bad by week 4-5. That is different than doing it intentionally for ONE game.
October 18, 200916 yr I'd say the "Bush Push" gave SC a bigger advantage than ND got from the grass. Agreed.
