He's doing a great job of managing the game, with a great run offense... There has not really been a reason for him to throw. Why throw when you're moving the ball so well on the ground?

What about him being in only his 2nd career start do you not understand? This is the NFL, teams don't give young QBs making their first starts of their careers the chances to make mistakes. When you throw downfield, it opens up the possibility of mistakes. You want to limit his potential to turn it over until he gets completely comfortable in the pocket and reading NFL defenses.
