FBI Digs Up NKY CC Golf Course

Featured Replies

Do you think Northern Kentucky has multiple FBI offices investigating the same area?

Of course it's the same office. It's our office.

The Cincinnati office handled it and yes I think there are offices in Kentucky.

I was told a large amount of cash and some documents. That could be pure speculation too, so don't take my word for it.

That is pure speculation generated from the Rumor Mill that is Summit Country Club.

There are offices in Louisville & in Cincinnati.

You didn't answer my question, though. Do you think NKY has multiple offices for the FBI? I highly doubt it.

Thought so but it is somewhat believable if you think about it. I just can't quite come up with what else it could be.

Do you think Mr. Erpenbeck is getting tired of sitting in jail and starting to sing like a birdie:isurrender:?

I was going to say that but didn't know if it was forum appropriate to make accusations :D, but I wouldn't say that's out of the question.

What benefit would that give him? He'll have to serve 24 years regardless.

I'm not sure I can answer your question. I think a different office handled this operation than if I stole a phone card. I was told by a federal agent it was Erpenbeck related or that office wouldn't have handled it.

From the article:

Federal authorities would not comment on whether the dig or the warrant had anything to do with the Erpenbeck scandal.

FBI spokesman Mike Brooks confirmed that a sealed search warrant had been obtained in the Eastern District of Kentucky as part of an investigation by the Cincinnati office of the FBI.

That FBI office led the investigation that resulted in the Erpenbecks' convictions.

When contacted about the dig, Assistant U.S. Attorney Ben Dusing said "it is the policy of the Department of Justice neither to confirm nor deny the existence of an ongoing grand jury investigation."

He would not comment further

Just my opinion, not making an accusation.:D

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

It's a valid question; however, he has nothing to gain by spilling the beans.

How do you figure? Things can go on behind the scenes it happens all of the time.

Do you really think that they'd reduce his sentence for revealing where a box was buried? It would've been much more helpful when he was getting sentenced, not after 4 years in prison.

It's much more likely that they somehow intercepted a message, if it's related to Bill at all...

Speculation is there was some jewelry found. I find it hard to believe though b/c why would nobody else from the family have taken it out of there at some point?

Anyone ever find out what happened with this? I just thought about it today randomly.
