October 26, 200916 yr Author Oh, I don't either, but I thought it was interesting and certainly even more interesting if true. I've seen 2 out of the 3, and I'd assume the other might be on the DVD extras. IMO, I think they went with Spielberg's ending because it made it seem more paranormal. If they had gone with the original ending or the 3rd, then it could almost be taken as, "Well she just went crazy." I just think the ending we see in theaters now really drives home that this was paranormal and not necessarily a mental illness. :thumb:

I liked the ending in the theater, except for the very last thing that happened when she looked at the camera. It didn't fit with the rest of the movie IMO.

October 26, 200916 yr Author You mean where...(spoiler)... Yes, but you may want to white it out or something that way you don't ruin it for people who haven't seen it.
October 26, 200916 yr Author Yes. You know...I agree that it didn't fit the rest of the movie but I didn't hate it.
October 26, 200916 yr (Spoiler Talk) I guess I'm having a hard time understanding why you didn't think it fit. ?? I thought it went right along with the rest of the movie. Some reasoning: She didn't actually turn into the demon or anything, as far as I could tell, her eyes turned black and she contorted her face and came at the camera. It wasn't as if we were seeing the actual demon (which IMO would have ruined the movie), but more so, that we were seeing the demon through her, since she was possessed. And then, coming at the camera was just a real quick "bang" to end the movie.
October 26, 200916 yr Author (Spoiler Talk) . Yeah, I just think it was weird. Edited October 27, 200916 yr by Birdsfan
October 26, 200916 yr The reason I didn't like it is because it just didn't fit with the rest of the movie. It seemed more like a typical horror movie would end like that. *Spoiler in white* I thought it seemed obvious already that the demon was inside of her at this point. She killed her boyfriend, and was able to throw his body across an entire room like it was a football. She then crawled over to his body. It was obvious enough that the demon was now in her, the graphics and the face were not necessary IMO.I did not hate it, I just didn't like the ending all that much.

I watched the alternative ending and thought is was too slow. The current ending will ensure that they will do another movie. Which I am sure will never live up to this one.

They could do another one either way. And I don't have a problem with how the ending was in the movie version. I just have a problem with the very last thing she does, which we have already discussed.
