Sadly for BW there aren't a lot of choices. I remember them being solid in the early 80s. I'd guess last year's team, though, may take that crown.

I know their tradition has not been great over a long time. But what would say was the best team in Beechwood history?

1968. They beat two very good teams in the 34th District tournament in Holmes and then Holy Cross, before losing to CovCath in the finals.

I saw that team play (Larry Miller was the star of that team if I remember correctly) and last year's team was much, much better!

I would have to say last years team. I think they had the most wins in school history last year and their schedule included big schools and not just the "A" schools. Last year was a nice year for the Tigers.

I think the year with Michael Romes has to be up there. He has beaten the Mt St Joe scoring record as a junior. Michael Romes' senior season they were good.

I agree, last year has to be at the top of the list. But there is a good chance last year's team will be surpassed in the very near future. This year will be a bit of a transition season. But the two years after that, Beechwood is going to have some very good size and talent. Their front line in two years will likely all be 6'5"+. If one of their good young guards can work himself into an outside scoring threat, they will be very good.

While I have not witnessed the incoming freshman class I did hear good things about talent and size. The sophomore class has talent as well.

I'd back off of Vocke until he proves he can shoot.
