Mason Co. is not allowed to play in the Lexington Catholic tournament or play Lexington Catholic because of their district voting against it. I was also told that their district voted against playing Scott Co. but I can't find a reason for that. The reason for voting against Lexington Catholic and such is because the whole private vs public thing. Mason Co. didn't play in the Lexington Catholic tourmament last year either and the only reason they played Lexington Catholic during the season was because they had to finish the contract. This is all coming from a very reliable source!

Yeah a district voting not to play a team maybe the dumbest thing that I have ever heard. I think had Mason had success, as far as winning some games against Scott Co. recently they would still be playing.

Not the point at all. Mason in the past has played a very demanding schedule, and top notch tournments with Lofton and Miller. Getting them as much exposure as they could. Now they are not doing this with Setty? This I don't understand. I was very suprised when I saw Mason's schedule this year. The tourney's Mason are in are not the ones you would expect them in . Mason will have a great record this year with the schedule they have, but I have seen posters from Mason say you have to beat the best to be the best, just don't see that with this schedule. This could hurt them come post season.

How do you rate your teams strength of schedule?

 

I believe that GRC's schedule is the strongest of any team in the 10th region. Would like to see other teams arcoss the state and how they rate their schedules.

To be competitive at the state tourney you need to play top teams across the state.

 

Will be interesting to see other teams strength of their schedules.

 

GRC's schedule just got stronger. On 1-23, Fairdale was added, away game. Very brutal schedule for the Cards this year. We will take some losses this year, but with playing the top teams across the state, will only help us come post season.

Would agree that GRC have one of the toughest, if not the toughest schedule in the state. Its good for GRC to have tests during the year. As a coach you want your team to have around 8-10 for sure wins and then the rest be tests.
