What district would they move to?

 

They're talking about moving down to 4A.

You can believe what you want, especially if you weren't there. Any of those scores except the 28-21 game could've been much worse. Matney will not intentionally try to embarrass any other team if he gets the chance.

Well, maybe you should stop back tracking then. Regardless, this is about Ashland-Waverly and I have no further comment in this thread. Ashland played well and deserves congratulations, and we'll see you in 12 days at The Nest.

... Are they going to continue in the same district for the foreseeable future or are they supposed to change soon? It seems like I recall a discussion on here last year how Ashland might move to another district at some point.

 

 

Ryan: I think they expect to drop to 4A and go back into their old district with Boyd, Greenup, Lawrence and Rowan. Ashland is a small 5A school and there is a lot of travel for district games - Johnson Central is our closest District game.

 

Personally I think 5A has been good for Ashland. It has toughened us up and provided more exposure to the rest of the state. My oldest son would have loved to play CKY and NKY teams like his younger brother did.
