Freshmen Game in NKY

Featured Replies

IMO, if Cooper really wanted to play Ryle, they should have played in the large school division. There is nothing small about Cooper. Why schedule a side game after the fact just for bragging rights? Doesn't make much sense.

Unfortunately only the Varsity coach and or AD get to vote on that. I would venture to say they will be in the large school division from here on out but they just happened to miss possibly the best freshman class they will have in a long time.

CovCath 39 Conner 12

if this team does not beat itself, they be 4 -0

CovCath has lost 2 games. Did they beat themselves twice

I was at the Ryle/CCH game and it was one of the better freshman football games you could see. Big plays throughout the game:

Cov Cath jumped out on top 14-0 on some big Beatrice runs.

Ashley to Osborne TD pass for Ryle cut the lead in half.

Pulice ripped off a big run to bring Ryle close (blocked xtra point)

Back and forth from that point including a 41 yard field goal from Ryle, a clutch interception from Wil Bloom of Ryle, and a diving TD run by CCH's Blake Bir.

I did not see anyone beating themselves.

HHS is suppose to play Campbell Cty today at 6:00. Wondering if game will get cancelled or possibly moved to HHS.

Game has been cancelled.

Beechwood vs. Scott freshman game moved to the Beechwood turf at 8:00 tonight (Thursday).

I completely agree with you, this is a very good class of athletes. That's why it's so perplexing regarding the decision that was made by their varsity coach. Was he that unfamiliar with the personnel coming in? If I knew their team was loaded, how could he not know that? My knowledge only comes from watching these kids development throughout the years in the pee wee system. This group will fun to watch going forward.

Beside S.K. at Ryle this Thursday what are some of the other match ups this week?

UPDATE:

Half Time:

Ryle 13

SK 6
