Lone Oak 56 Caldwell County 19

Featured Replies

Nice win for the Oakers against a tough bunch of Tigers. Having played Lone Oak, Calloway and Hopkins Central, Caldwell has to feel like they're the fourth team in 4A District 1. They'd be just one touchdown out of second place!

Lone Oak looks to be the team to beat out of their region.

Allen County is the favorite ... they beat Lone Oak handily in the playoffs last year.

Lone Oak is a much improved team compared to last years squad plus they are cancer free. They also should have homefield advantage against Allen Co should they meet in the playoffs.

No argument here, but Allen County also has most of their key players back. I'm not saying that Lone Oak won't beat them, but I also don't think you can make Lone Oak the clear favorite, either.

I just think that Lone Oak beating Lex Cath really puts the spotlight on them but Allen Co could be the team. With Coach Haskins I think that LO is all ways a contender in the west.

I'd say there's a strong chance for a rematch between Lone Oak and Allen Co. in the playoffs. LO has a better team than last year's squad and should have home field advantage.

Another deacent game for the oakers....Its hard to get a rythem going on offense when for the second week alot of big yellow flags were flying everywhere...very suspect. But they found a way to dominate....there were at least 3 touchdowns called back..Plus a fumble that should have been a foward pass that Caldwell scored on.....Next up is Graves and i hope we can win that one by a bunch as well, maybe then we can get a little respect out west.....6-0 leading the state in scoring and still non believers.......
