It looked to me like all Highlands' top sophomores played in this game, including True playing on both sides of the ball. Several of Beechwood's best sophomores did not play because they are logging so many minutes on varsity. I would guess it is rare that a sophomore at Highlands does not play JV. Maybe Collinsworth did not play JV as a sophomore but he is very special. Anyone else you can recall who did not play JV as a sophomore at Highlands?

 

My sons soph year there were about 6- 7 that didn't play JV. I'm sure that during his time at Highlands each year there were sophs that didn't play JV.

Highlands & Beechwood are both great programs; however, I'm not sure that it's a fair matchup on the freshman or JV levels.

 

Highlands would probably be better suited to match up against bigger schools on these levels. Not a knock on Beechwood - they simply don't have the numbers to field 3 great teams.

Is he playing varsity? What position? I have heard people talking highly about him but don't know much about him.

Of this years Senior class, Collinsworth and Roller both started as sophmores and did not play JV.
