SINGLEBAR FACEMASK Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Final score. Holy Cross seemed to control the game. Markel Walker Had over 150 rushing and 100+ yards passing. Good win Indians.
Rebel Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Markel Walker Had over 150 rushing Pikeville gets the job to try to stop Boyle's Reese MacShara next week in Corbin.
mcfly2325 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 There was no chance for Pikeville. Holy Cross ran all over them, but also threw the ball very well. Good game HC.
Eagle 4 Life Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) I heard they had 2 or 3 TD's called back so the score could have been worse. Congrats Indians I'm sure it made the long bus ride back a better one. Edited August 30, 2009 by Ram Rule 13

It definately could have been worse two touchdowns were called back. Indians controlled the line of scrimmage all game, the future looks promising for the indians. :ylsuper:
CooperPride Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Sounds like things are going very well for Holy Cross right now and they seem to have a very good, and athletic team. Congrats! Anyone have any info on Holy Cross' JV team?
mcfly2325 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 The indians JV team should be well off. They have 2 QBs that could both see varsity time but as of now they are JV players. They throw the ball well but their WRs strugle catching the ball. Their run game looks good with 2 Strong running backs Paul Lampone and James Trunnel. Weak D though. Could go ether way their first real game is coming up.

Congrats Indians im sure it made the long bus ride back a better one. It could of been ugly. 2 Tds called back and many long plays called back because of poor calls. :thumb:

Black Panther Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Pikeville is a better team than they showed Sat. night....they just had two many turnovers...They had two turnovers in the first 3 minutes that resulted in 14-0 and two more turnovers before halftime.

I haven't seen the first two games, but intend on making the game @ Beechwood on the 11th. What are the Indians' chances in that one? Will the extra week help them (they have a bye this week)?
The Observer Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 The Indians are looking tough this year. I know many faithful in Covington who have been waiting for a year like this out of Holy Cross.
