Yes, it seems they tweaked the defense to adjust for the running game Ryle was trying to establish with Elliot.

Sometimes coaches out think themselves. I am not at the game but I am having a hard time justifying not punting. It's like that Little League baseball game last night between GA and CA. The GA coach wins the toss and chooses to hit first instead of being home team. The announcers say some coaches think it is an advantage to bat first and score first. Of course CA wins the game in the bottom of the 6th. Punt the ball Ryle! Your defense has to stop them sometime if you are going to win. Make it a longer field and give the defense a chance.
