I want a German Shepherd

Featured Replies

I purchased a GS pup several months ago at a kennel outside of Morehead. The name was Stepping Stone Kennels. The cost was in your price range. I am very happy with the dog.

Try Schone Stadt in Bloomfield, KY. The Prices at 502 252 8752. Price of puppies vary. They have a website too.

OR my German Shep when I was a kid was also named Smokey. Ironic lol! Awesome bread of loyal dogs!

:thumb: Yes they are, my mother still has pics of me throwing a blanket on him and trying to ride him like a horse when I was still very young....and the dog would let me. Others he may have "snapped" at but I could do anything I wanted and the dog would just go along with it, lol.

Thanks for everyones help I finally found what I wanted at a good price.

Great news, WHO YA WITH!

I also grew up with a gorgeous German Shepherd named Prince who was my "brother." (I am an only child) Prince was so protective of me and very fierce, but absolutely putty in my little hands. My parents were even hesitant to discipline me in the yard because it upset Prince so much. He would whimper and try to wedge himself between me and whoever was fussing at me. He was about 130 lbs, so he could be a pretty big wedge! He was killed by a milk truck down the road from my house when he was 12 and I was 8. I can still remember my dad sitting me down and telling me that Prince was "gone." I told him we needed to go and get him, wherever he was. I mourned that dog for a very long time. The love of a good dog is a very special gift. I am so thankful that my kids know that same kind of love with our dog Wrigley.

I still remember when my first dog, a Golder Retriever, got hit by a car in front of our house. He was barely a year old but we had already formed a great bond!

When my best friend, a Chocolate Lab, died three years ago (from old age) I was completely rocked. I still miss her!

Thanks for everyones help I finally found what I wanted at a good price.

I got a black and tan female her name is Sasha. I had to drive to Bonnieville KY to get her and got lost twice! Her grandfather was a drug dog. Got what I think was a great deal:ylsuper:
