I beleive it will be another long season for Fort Knox.

 

I don't see them breaking the streak this year, but who knows?

Its mainly the four Hardin County schools that will benefit (including Ft. Knox). Being a former transfer student myself, I can see where it helps and hurts. I also hear Ft. Knox is building a new highschool. Does anybody know how thats comming along?

Actually Bethlehem may benifit as much as anyone. It is the closest private school and will pick up several students.

Either way its going to be interesting to see if Ft. Knox moves up in a class or not depending on how many students they get. Its a strong possibility.:dancingpa

This is not meant to be a "smart Alec" question but, what happened to Fort Knox? When I was in school (grad in 82), FK was one of the elite programs. I know everyone has lean years but FK has really dropped off. Again, no disrespect intended.

Incorrect. It's because of the nature of the soldiers deployed there. The base sees a lot of temporary people, and oftentimes a playmaker there in week one may be shipped out with his parent six weeks later. Tough to build continuity and cohesion.

 

That will change in a couple years, as more long-term personnel will be stationed there, like it was in the '90s and before.

It would seem with the losing streak of 32 games will hender them being a power or at least a competitive team....I sure those families coming in see that they haven't won in a while so they would move off the base or not move on to begin with. Just a thought.

There is that risk, but there will be so many new people coming in the school will still get a lot of new kids, and many will be able to play.

But will they want to play? That the question...

Maybe when BRAC is finally carried out, the Ft. Knox and Elizabethtown rivalry will be revived...hopefully...
