I would expect a list of top 10 players in the region to be somewhat different right now than what a list would be at the end of the year. There is bound to be a couple guys no one knows about that will break out and have big years this year.

By reading Jody's article, a few college coaches must think he has improved a lot. Evans is an outstanding player and I agree that he is in the top ten. I believe there were other players that were "not even close to the top 10" mentioned in this thread, why pick one player out, I don't understand your motive sometimes.

 

I responded to a quote and that is why I picked one player. I guess I could have responded to a quote yet left it ambiguous as to my reference but that wouldn't have made much sense to anyone.

 

I have watched and coached against Flannery since he was in the 4th grade. He is a great shooter, a great player and he has improved a ton - not denying any of that. We are discussing the top 10 players in the region and I don't think he is one of them. I think there are 4 guys on his team that are ahead of him on top anything list of the 11th region.

Based on what Tates Creek students and basketball players have said, he is enrolled and in the hallways and classrooms or Tates Creek. He hasn't been seen at an open gym so there's not much word on his skill - but he is a big boy.

Another player who could possibly be much improved and a very good player is Adams at Bryan Station. With a guy that is around 6-10 he has a lot of potential.

There are quite a few studs in the 11th region, like always. It's too early to pin the top 10, but the names mentioned thus far in this thread are a good list to start with. Lexington and the surrounding counties should be full of talent this year. It's going to be a good year.

As good as Ge-Lawn is, Ill take Vance Hall at the end of the day.

Madison Southern has 3 kids who can flat play they will be a surprise to a lot of people.

Hall is very good, but Guyn is just so explosive as well as skilled.

Euton by defauly.. Yes I think he is a good High School basketball players, but I dont see him as the strong prospect he once was considered. A guy with his size that can shoot as well as he can and is certainly always a threat.

I think Ive mentioned around 20 different guys in this thread. Its just so hard to narrow it down to 10 without leaving some really good players out.

No doubt in my mind that Jackson and Hall are top 10. It does make for interesting preseason discussion to try and narrow it to 10 players as everyone has opinions and bias.

 

It is obvious that I Have bias towards Vance Hall as I have watched him develop over the years. He will have a huge year provided he stays healthy.
