Richard looks good this year. I've been to a couple of practices and he appears to be more relaxed and letting the game come to him instead of panicking and putting pressure on himself. Don't know actual numbers but would say 7 of 10 in the game last Friday. If he does that it will open up Bellevues offense this year.

I can listen to some of your points but the NCC game is a big game to many in Bellevue and quite frankly makes more sense than playing Holy Cross. Scott has struggled to beat bad 1A schools the past 4 years so in this case "size does not matter"

 

 

Holmes is a legit upgrade on the schedule and replacing Bracken is an upgrade no matter who you play. But lets not get carried away with making this to be a huge strength change in schedule. You lost the very best team on your schedule who would beat Holmes hands down.......................

I would disagree with what you said about the schedule. HC is solid upgrade to the Tigers schedule. Plus Holmes and Scott are also upgrades, when they replace Gallatin, Bracken, etc.

 

I think NCC has been off the basketball schedule for the last couple of years...From what I hear the AD at Belleve before Bob Runyan caused some issues (monetary, etc.) that caused this game to be dropped...But that's a different thread!

The thing I can't figure is why an unranked 2A School with two good players is so overwhelmingly better than the seventh ranked (according the highly fallible Herald Leader Rankings) 1A school in the state.

 

I'm not saying Holy Cross isn't talented, but it seems like everyone is willing to just give this game to them without paying much attention to the improvements in Bellevue’s overall game from last year. An overall improvement in the front both defensively and offensively; what sounds like more stable play from the quarterback; and an already very effective running game. These kids are no clown shoes.

 

These Tigers seem ready to me, and if it is anything like usual there will be chip on their collective shoulder.
