You seriously think Willis is better in any aspect of the game compared to an All SEC athlete and possible first round NFL draft choice? This is a roll-up of Micah's High School career taken right from the UK website. I don't believe that when this season ends that the list of accomplishments for Willis will be 1/4 of Micah's.

I watched both play in person & tend to agree with the scribe. Willis is better on the offensive side of the ball & can be lined up at numerous position. However, I had much rather have Johnson on my team & let him play defense.

Willis an All-American at any position??? Huge difference between documented accomplishments, Micah, and unrealized potential, Willis.

 

A lot of rumors at the FC Jamboree last night about the whereabouts of Willis. Iam not going to print any of the disparaging talk about Willis, wouldn't be proper. I will say that nobody believed he was back in Murray helping little old ladies cross the street. Do you see where this is going??

I mean no disrespect to anyone. Given that FTCKY benefits from a KHSAA bylaw waiving sit outs for military transfers; it practices and plays in Tennessee where most of its players live; FC has the ability to discipline players in ways that other schools do not; it has a highly restricted and desirable enrollment base - dependents of active duty (and typically higher ranking) personnel living on post and a per pupil expenditure that Ky. public schools only dream about, Fort Campbell should never lose. I admire the program greatly but it's not exactly a level playing field. I notice that Micah transferred in from Virginia "in time" for his junior season. That is a PCS-TDY blessing. I wonder what Willis could have achieved in the FC environment.

Why must we go down this road EVERY year??? Micah is old news. Military PCSing is old news. Yes Fort Campbell is a military base located partly in Tennessee funded by DOD, again, old news.

 

How about we focus on this year?

I have seen both play numerous times. Johnson was an outstanding running back. Willis runs and catches the ball, or at least he has the past two seasons.

 

At no time have I said Willis is a better overall player than Micah Johnson. But I think they are a wash offensively, with Willis slightly better because of his ability to catch a pass and catch a pass downfield.

It was an exciting night of football at Fryar Stadium.

 

I was really looking forward to the Christian County game because I thought it would be a good game to face the 2008 5A Runner-Up....but it wasn't as close as I had thought it would be. Granted, it was a scrimmage game, but because of the proximity of the schools and the fact that they won't play each other in the regular season.....yada, yada, yada.

 

I wanted to also thank Northeast HS's cheerleaders for making a TW 73 ribbon that was handed out to those in attendance, it was a very nice gesture and it was appreciated by me and my wife.

 

I would also like to thank the Fort Campbell Falcon community for their continued support, love, thoughtfulness, and prayer.
