We haven't updated these guys in a while.

What Dunn has done in the lineup is pretty amazing IMO. Amazing how much he wasn't appreciated here.

Dunn has hit much better there for average, that .280 average is out of the normal for him. He has had a fantastic year. I do not know, but does anyone think that playing in a park that is not known for home runs changed his swing from trying to hit a home run every time, to taking the pitch as it is thrown, his HR numbers have not gone down, but I think that mind set of "I am no longer playing in a home run ball park" has made him a better hitter.

Pretty much exactly what he did while hear except BA which really doesn't matter all that much for a guy like him.

BA matters a great deal for all players....

Why? He is driving in about the same runs and has an OBP over 400? What it matter if he hits .280 and has those number or hit .250 with them?

He's driving in more runs, but what do you mean, why does average matter?

I'll take .280 over .250 any day of the week.

:thumb: Leads to more innings being extended, higher pitch counts for opposing pitchers, more opportunities for teammates to knock in runs, etc....

His number are virtually the same that is the point. Obviously I would want my hitter hitting .280 over .240 but I'm just saying for him its not that much of a factor of how he is doing.

Dunn is hitting .275 with 26 HR, 75 RBI & 51 runs. He's played left field, right field & first base. He'll be playing 1B for the rest of the year.

Last year he hit .233 in Cincinnati (114 games) & .243 in Arizona (44 games). He hit 40 HR last year with 100 RBI. He'll approach those same power numbers this year on a much worse team.

Dunn has been great this year. He didn't want to be in Cincinnati anymore & it showed. It's even more evident now. We need someone like him in our lineup, but it was a trade that had to be made & I think it was fair so far. Dallas Buck could make it very good.

^ I'm not saying anything like that at all. Just a little shot at the Dunn bashers.

Perhaps Dunn "didn't want to be in Cincinnati" because of the way he was treated by some fans ... just given the stuff I've read here over the years, I can see it.

Griffey needs to retire after this season. He is but a shell of his former self. I'm sure the latter part of his career would have been much more productive had he roided up like many of his contemporaries. As it is, age has simply caught up to him. Shame he will never have played in a Word Series.
