I never did see the answer on who South lost and who returns.

 

One of Middlesboro's wins was on a questionable call in the seventh inning when Harlan County made a big comeback. I think Middlesboro was probably more consistent than Harlan County, but their talent level was pretty close to even. It should be a good battle in the district this year.

If I remember correctly, that game was a close one correct? Did they even pitch their ace? That's how much respect they had for Harlan County, they didn't even pitch their ace. Now I think that was a bad decision on their part, but they didn't lose because of their pitching, they lost because of defensive errors. By all means, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they made 5 errors and 2 or 3 of those resulted in runs.

 

After beating HC two out of three games, ONCE BY THE 10 RUN RULE, I think they proved they were better. Are you seriously saying that HC is the man? Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are. I know I would rather face HC any day of the week than face Middlesboro- that's all I'm going to say and I'm entitled to that opinion.

 

I will go on to apply that principal to SL, who is the man in this region. Until they're beaten, they're the man. And they return a lot more talent than you all are giving them credit for.

Bell graduated every player of decent quality. I mean EVERY player. I know Middlesboro has Partin and Pratt coming back, with Partin being arguably the best hitter in the region.

 

I can agree with your top 5 but I would predict that the NL fans will want to replace HC on that list.

NL will not be number one...Clay Co. didn't really lose anybody and they had the best record all year long...Did NL even make the region tournement last year?

NL will not be number one next year, but they very well could compete and be in the top five of the region. No, they did not make the region tourney last year as they lost to Clay in the first round of the district.......but I believe better things are on the horizon for NL. Only time will tell...........:thumb:

They blind draw. NL returns everyone. Deep in pitching with lots of experience returning in all postions.

That blind draw is the most ridiculous system there is. And Clay County played a schedule last year that was a bit misleading (not real strong).

I dislike the blind draw as well. I will say that probably NL and Clay are the only two of the five that vote for seeding. OBI, Jackson Co. and Redbird vote draw. I don't expect it to ever change. The same always happens in basketball too.

What about Knox Central? Didn't they have a pretty good season last year. I thought they had alot coming back.
