June 28, 200917 yr I've been especially enjoying the theological threads lately. I've also stumbled upon a challenging question I've never answered so I thought I would add to the threads. Why did God create the earth and humanity? If God is omnipotent, what purpose does our creation serve? To provide beings for Him to love and for beings to Love Him. Can you imagine being the richest person in the universe and then being the ONLY person in the universe? The money would be kinda irrelevant without someone to buy things and do things with. Similar with God in my limited mind. This whole big universe would be kinda boring if God had no one here to share it with. And that is simply what He wants. To come to Him through His Son to share life with Him.

That's close to the answer I came up with. I think humanity needed to be created to define God's existence.

June 29, 200917 yr IMO opinion, God is omnipotent and all knowing. To me that means he knows every possible choice and every possible outcome. You can' surprise God. BUT, we still have free will to make those choices. All paths have the same beginning and the same ending. They just take different ways to get there.

I agree, BTW.
June 29, 200917 yr Why was the Earth created? We had to have some place to live. I think this is the best answer. So, now the real question... Why did God create us? Humans...man and woman?
