How many teams withdrew? I heard that for various reasons Woodford County, East Jessamine and Montgomery County withdrew early or did not play at all. I also thought the scheduling could use some work. Montgomery County finished as a #2 seed (2-1) in their pool and after playing at 11:30 am Tuesday, they were not scheduled to play again until 7:00 pm Tuesday night. What is there to do with a basketball team for that amount of time?

Both teams were short players, Anderson without Jacob Russell, and franklin County without Will Bell and Ryan Timmons

 

Vance Hall was basically too much to handle.

Henry Clay vs. Seneca at 2:00pm at Western Hills

 

Championship at 4:00pm at FCHS

Seneca is going to surprise a lot of people this year.

 

Deonte Maddox is a player and will likely play at the D1 or D2 level. He also has a nice supporting cast in McElwain, Nance, Shaw, and Stone.

 

I was very impressed with Seneca when I saw them last year and it looks like they're picking up where they left off. Don't be surprised if they make a run at the 7th region championship...they are that talented.
