martstone Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Congrats to Mandy , she should be fine IF she gets the right supporting cast and will actually let them help with the program. Thats where they ran into problems last season. One thing for sure , it won't take long to see the outcome. Hopefully they will get a few more talented girls back out to play. Now all that is necessary is for those in charge to create a position for the new coach, since there is not one for her at this time. Never fear , they will find a spot for her. Heaven forbid they dare hire one of the others that applied that have many years coaching experience and already teach here.:idunno:

I hope she gets the support she needs and everybody gets behind her fully. I'm sure the staff will do everything possible to help the new coach get off to a good start. Hopefully the parents will give her a fair shake. I don't know that she will be using the same assistants. I have heard that Roark won't be with the team this season, but I would think that Cynthia Sparks and Cassity would be willing to help with the girls if needed. They both did a great job holding things together last season and appear to be there for the right reasons. I know you can't please everyone when coaching positions are filled but the job is filled and Mandy Layne deserves the chance to prove her ability. She has a good group of girls returning and should be competitive this year.:thumb:
