Dylan is an excellent catcher and I think he plays summer ball for Bob Myerhoff.

I do not understand your comment. I gave an opinion on a player that I have seen catch. He is a good young catcher that I have seen do an excellent job at the JV level and in summer. :idunno:

Now I know that Cottingham was having some trouble with getting dizzy and feeling sick and in fact down in the Boyd County tourney vs GRC he took himself out of a game that indeed he had started, because of feeling sick. Not sure but that might be the problem but to think Kumps wouldn't play a kid who plays for Bob in the summer is way......way.....off base.

From what I heard it had nothing to do with Dylan being sick.

 

Not to spoil everything as it is not my place, but there was no reason the freshman should have gone in as opposed to Cottingham. Dylan has a great arm and is a very good defensive catcher. His hitting needs some def. work. But he is better than the freshman who came in last night. I don't think there really is any dispute of that. So it will be interesting to find out the reasoning for it.

Dylan Cottingham quit. The fact that he plays for Meyerhoff in the summer had nothing to do with it. Besides, he lives in Campbell County which is no where even remotely close to Beechwood's district.
