Carroll County turns a sweet 5-4-3-2 triple play.

Jesse Proctor gives up 4 hits and a run the first then scatters 3 hits over the next 6 to get a complete game win.

Carroll County goes to 21-4-1 on the season, Go Panthers!

Runner on 1st and 3rd, Batter hits ball to pitcher throws to the shortstop steps on 2nd then to 1st. Runner at third sprints home he was then tagged out by the catcher.

Great game Panthers! Its exciting to see one of the best Carroll Co. baseball team play in years. There season ended tonight 21-4-1 and hopefully many more games to play!

I dont know about tha. Favorites for the 31st yes. Favorites for the region- Anderson.

Always funny when a poster announces a bigger school then a small one. Not surprising to say the least, but the best part about baseball is one teams ace can shut down another teams ace and then you have a ball game doesn't matter how small or big a school is.

I was gonna say the same thing. Seems like no one can let folks enjoy a tremendous season like what the Panthers have done. I don't care who you are, 21-4-1 is a great record.

By the way, what happened to make Anderson County fall out of the Top 25 this week??? Could it be the loss to lowly 18-11 Mercer County?? Proves that even Anderson County can be defeated.

Anderson County will make it to the Region, but there are 7 other teams there as well.

Are the tentative regional brackets available yet?

Carroll has to play Henry for the 4th time this season in the opening round of district play. All but one of these games have been very close which should make for a great game.

By the way South Oldham has a nice field, it looks huge, does anyone know the dimensions?

I don't know the dimensions but we played over there and a kid hit a ball and even had a 25 mph behind it and still fell short of the fence. Everybody in the stands thought it was gone. It does play big.

Carroll had 2 home runs there last night one by DC Craig (5) and one by Matt Allen(3) to left center field. What made me curious was Craig hit a fly ball out to deep center that probably traveled farther than the home runs. My guess is the field is mayber 310 down the lines 350 in the gaps and possibly 375 or greater to center.

Sounds like Craig is having a big year, both at the plate and on the mound. I look forward to seeing him play with the Colonels this summer. Has he been getting any offers yet? A big kid that can catch, pitch, and hit well!!! I'm sure several will be calling. :thumb:

That is a 1-6-3-2 triple play. if the pitcher starts it then shortstop on to first then home.

I know I got all excited and didn't think everything through when posting:ohbrother:, sorry.
