Another bad situation.

Shawnee has struggled mightily this year; although their last game was a win over Central. Shawnee and Central both play very limited schedules.

Was this really necessary? KCD should be ashamed.

We have this conversation about 15 times per year in the baseball forum. Of course none of us were there, so it's hard to throw stones. After some initial sabre-rattling, we usually agree the winning coach made every attempt to "play the game the right way." Finally, we come to the conclusion that there really isn't much that can be done. And after a couple pages of posts that lead to that conclusion, another similar situation will occur and we do the same song-and-dance once again!

A coach cant just tell his players to purposely get out, if they hit they hit, not much you can do about it.

You forgot, "You can't just tell the kids to not play", "when the underclassmen are in, you can't tell them not to run, they want to play too", "All you can do is only take one base on each hit", and "after you put the subs in, what else are you supposed to do, as long as everyone got to play".

 

That should about cover it, now we can get on with the discussion.
