Fucci is a stud!! He was amazing last year in the state tournament. He put the Ice on his back and led them to the state championship. He and Wilder make a heck of a guard combo.

 

DSAS is loaded. They go 10 deep and don't drop off much at all. Great team.

 

Shining Star Sports. Very deep and talented team as well. Finished runner up last year to the state champion Ice.

 

No disrespect to any of the other teams I just think these three teams are at another level then the rest of the field.

 

I guess we'll have to wait and see. There is going to be some pretty good talent spread across the board. All these teams will be ABSOLUTELY ready to go to battle.

I saw them play at the Grassroots tournament and they had a nice team. I don't know what you get if you split them up. There is only one Josh Forrest.

Shining Stars U15 would probably be the slight favorite here IMO. That team has good talent and good guard play. I have heard a lot about the NKY Tarheels and the younger DSAS (15U). Should be a good tournament.

I agree, there is only one Josh Forrest. Though, I did see a WKY Elite team in the 15U bracket so maybe they do have 2 16U's.

The coaches that put the best (team) players on the floor will win this week-end. There are a ton of great kids that can score in this tourney. The team and players that put there ego's aside and play as a team will come out on top this week-end. I will take a good team over a loaded super stars playing for stats. The "Me" first players may get noticed but hardly ever win Championships.

Basketball is a TEAM sport. I think the winner of this tournament will be the best TEAM on the floor. This is why i like the teams that no one is talking about. Sure DSAS has a ton of talent, but any team can slip up in a 1 and out bracket play tournament. And, any team can have a great game and beat anybody. Nothing is pre-determined. That's why these kids play the game. As the once great Herm Edwards would say "You play to WIN THE GAME!"

 

There are good players, and there are good teams. Good teams win tournaments.
