May 8, 200917 yr Problem is, that is what the Lakers want (unless it ends in legitimate injury for Kobe, of course, with Artest might actually be possible). Artest needs to show some maturity and not let Kobe & Co. get in his head. :thumb: Artest is making this series interesting...and by that, I don't mean his antics, but rather his play. If he keeps playing as well as he has, and as efficiently as he has, the Rockets could be right there in every game. He has been their best and most important player, IMO. The Rockets seem to play just as good, if not better, when Yao went out with foul trouble. Artest is a big reason why... He's averaging 23 per game while shooting at a .552 clip (.538 from long range). Contrast that with his regular season numbers...17.1 per game and .401 from the field (.399 from long range). A huge upgrade... Against Portland he averaged 15.7 per game while shooting at .411 clilp (.278 from long range). Can he keep up his current level of efficiency? Is he just hot right now? Is it a favorable matchup for him? Or just bad Lakers defense? If Artest fades, life gets a lot easier for the Lakers.

Agreed- and I think when Yao goes out in the 1st half with foul trouble, it is a blessing in disguise, because he is not as fatigued in the 2nd half. He was key down the stretch in Game 1, because he only played a quarter or less in the 1st half.
