And thats just saying the best right now, best ever, then in no way could he even be in the same realm as somebody like Jimi. I would think it would be a safe bet that Slash would say he thinks hes good as a sarcastic comment or jab towards Axl being Buckethead is one of the million of guys Axl has tried to replace Slash with. He is without question the biggest name Axl has tried to slot into the Guns lineup after the departure of Slash. I honestly doubt Slash thinks he is anywhere close to being one of the greatest of all time. Which he shouldnt because Slash IMO is better than Buckethead, but then again thats just me. I also have a hard time believing Clapton honestly feels he is the best ever, I mean when you say best ever, that is a strong statement, especially considering who you are talking about. I mean Buckethead may be for all anyone knows, but IMO he is no where close, regardless of what anybody says. You put Zakk Wylde and Buckethead in a room right now and let them go lick for lick and Zakk embarrasses Buckethead, makes him glad he doesn't show his face. GuitarOne magazine and several other publications rate him in their top ten of all time, but what do they know... Brian is more of an experimental guitarist than a pure rocker... He can do things that other guitarist physically can't do just by the length of his fingers... Everyone has their favorites though, so I respect your opinion...

Everyone has their favorites though, so I respect your opinion... I respect your opinion as well and I will admit Buckethead is a great guitarist. GOAT though? I think thats pushing it a little too far, thats all I'm saying.
January 31, 201115 yr RTS.....Too funny, too funny. Hats off to you on that. That video did force me to have to post Steve Vai though and get his name out there. I tried to keep my guitarists list as short as possible, but Steve Vai earns some cred. I just don't give him as much love because he's mainly in the 80's era of hair guitarists so I normally just try to block that whole time frame out of my head. I do however love some Yankee Rose though by David Lee Roth, Steve Vai's playing lead on that I'm pretty sure. Along with Vai, a guy that has to be mentioned is Jeff Beck. Beck is another absolute monster who just plays guitar, thats all he has to do, just play guitar. Him and Vai both do it well.

I do love that Unplugged cd that the video comes from. On another note, it's hard to name someone the greatest with such a small body of work to critique. And with Lauryn's many personal problems, I'll assume it stays small. As a final aside, in the neo-soul movement I'm taking Erykah Badu over Lauryn Hill...EVERY day of the week and that's meant as no disrespect to Lauryn Hill.
